Coast to Coast Bike Ride 17th and 18th July 2010

Penistone Round Table are delighted to be involved in the centenary birthday of Penistone Scouts.  To mark the occasion, and also to help support a vital service for our community, Penistone Round Table will be teaming up with the scouts to do a gruelling 100 miles per day ride along the transpennine trail from the Liver Building in Liverpool to Princes Quay in Hull

This will include a family bike ride of 7 miles from Dunford Bridge to Penistone Scout hut on the Saturday afternoon starting at approximately 3pm.  A BBQ will follow at the scout hut which for which there will be a small charge.

All money's raised from these events will go directly into the scouts centenary projects, more details of which can be found at http://www.penistonescoutgroup.org.uk/

Penistone Round Table - Summer

As we enter the summer period, the formalities of table wind down a little, with some informal business meetings, and plenty of social activities.  If you are interested in joining Penistone Round Table, this is an ideal to come along to a social or two, or pop along to any meetings just to get an idea of what Penistone Round Table do, have a beer or three, and get involved in your local community.  Planning is already underway for this year's bonfire, santa's sleigh, gunshoot, our 37th Charter dinner and numerous other events.

Penistone Mayor's Parade and Gala Weekend - Update on 2010

Thanks for all your support for this year's gala!  Whilst a slow and uninspiring England performance and the inclement weather casting a slight shadow over proceedings, the weekend was another great community event, supported by hours of entirely voluntary time from Penistone Round Table and Penistone Scouts.

Would you like to help your local community whilst enjoying an active and varied social life? Round Table is a young men's club, open to men between the ages of 18 to 45 years. Some extreme social activities we have organised include Gliding, Sailing, White Water Rafting, climbing (for the more active!). Some less energetic social events have involved factory tours, brewery tours, golfing events, Quiz Nights, Casino Evenings. Some joint social events where both clubs get together include, Dinner Dances, BBQs, Weekend trips away, children's parties, family days and weekends. We are involved in the Penistone and surrounding community and are involved in fund raising for local community projects and charities. Some Community events we organise include Bonfire Nights, Santa sleigh runs for the kids, The Penistone Mayors Parade show and gala. You might think all this takes up a great deal of your time. The answer is NO!!. Typically you meet twice a month, and attend what activities you are interested in.
